15 Ramadan, The Birth Anniversary of Imam Hassan A.S Who Was Born in Madina

A long time ago, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) held the hands of his grandsons, Hasan and Husain, and said that anyone who loves them and their parents, Fatima and Ali, will be with him in heaven on the Day of Judgement.

On the 15th day of Ramadan, in the third year after Hijrah, Fatima and Ali had their first child. They brought the newborn to the Prophet Muhammad on the seventh day, wrapped in a special silk shawl from heaven. The Prophet was overjoyed to become a grandfather for the first time.

Allah commanded the Prophet to name the baby Hassan and he honored him by reciting the Azan and Qalma in his ears, shaving his head, and sacrificing a ram for his birth.

Today marks the 1440th birth anniversary of Imam Hassan, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and the son of Ali and Fatima. He was a great leader and many Islamic scholars consider him the fifth caliph of Islam. Let us strive to live our lives according to his principles.
